Zakon Law is the law of the Transformatsiya religion. It is primarily applied in autonomous zones and recently "liberated" territories. Merikan republicanism is considered an aspect of the Zakon, although most conservative and mixed political demographic areas do not properly enforce Zakon Law. The Zakon provides instructions for maximum punishments, although Zakon courts are allowed and sometimes encouraged to give lighter sentences. Despite recommendations for forgiveness and mercy, Tanisha warned that lack of justice results in the breakdown of order.

Life-coaching system

Zakon Law describes for the previous system of prisons to be "abolished" and replaced with a "life-coaching" system. In-patient treatment is conducted in institutions, primarily the Inklag or "hatchery camp." Out-patient treatment is equivalent to supervised release and requires regular engagement with the life-coaching process.

Crimes

Murder

Murder, in the absence of any mitigating circumstances, should be punished by death.

Abortion

Resulting in the death of the child

Any successful abortion that results in the death of the child must be punished by the death of everyone involved.

Not resulting in the death of the child

While the technology exists to have a non deadly abortion from the moment of conception, it is considered deeply misogynistic and elective abortions are forbidden by the Zakon. The penalty is religious and "feminist" education during a period of life-coaching. It is recommended that this sentence be served without incarceration, although repeated and unrepentant offenders may be sentenced to incarceration, especially if they are unbelievers.

Larceny

Tanisha instructed that all theft must be punished "severely" and gave examples from Mosaic and Sharia Law. She also gave warnings about how Satanic Merikans destroyed their cities by being soft on theft.

All larceny must be punished by a period of in-patient life-coaching and a minimum of six months of out-patient life-coaching. Early release is only permitted in cases of religious transition.

Repeat offenders and thieves of large amounts of value must be punished by long periods of in-patient life-coaching.

Blasphemy

Blasphemy must be punished by a period of out-patient life-coaching.

The issue is complicated because many acts that would normally be considered blasphemy are part of religious rituals. Blasphemy prosecutions are most commonly used against unbelievers.

Transphobia

Transphobia is considered blasphemy against the final and most sacred prophet Tanisha. Long sentences in the Inklag are allowed.
